We are looking to appoint a Family Support Worker to join our Family Services and Safeguarding Team.
The purpose of the role is to work closely with families and colleagues to ensure the wellbeing and safety of all our pupils.
Your role as a Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) will be integral to your daily work so we are looking for someone who has experience in safeguarding in schools or similar settings.
The successful candidate will champion safeguarding across the whole school, whilst contributing to our vision that ‘all children can achieve success’, working in collaboration with the Designated Safeguarding Lead, Senior Family Support Worker and Deputy DSLs in line with school safeguarding procedures and Keeping Children Safe in Education guidance.
What the school offers its staff
Woolmore is a happy, inclusive and exciting place to learn and our children love coming to school. We have been in our purpose-built new school building since February 2015, where we have developed into a thriving three-form entry primary school.
To ensure that every child achieves success, we ask ourselves ‘what would it take?’ to move forward – and then we do it! We offer children great teaching, guidance and support, and we help them grow into good global citizens. We have high expectations for everyone connected to our school community: children, parents, staff, governors and visitors. We work together and we are proud of the standards we achieve. This website will show you how we do it.
Commitment to safeguarding
Woolmore Primary School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of our children and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. The successful applicant will be required to apply for an enhanced disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) and to provide satisfactory references.
