Family Support Worker job summary

Family Support Worker Required to Start ASAP

Monday - Friday 8.30am - 3.30pm (term time and 5 training days).

Part-Time will also be considered.

Scale point 12-17 FTE = £28,598-£31,022

Actual based on 32.5 hours p/week = £22,153-£24,031

We are looking for a Family Support Worker to provide a mixture of individual and group interventions with parents, carers and children with additional pastoral and wellbeing needs. The successful candidate would work in partnership with parents to strengthen parental capacity and family relationships and to increase parental engagement in their local community and in their children’s education. The candidate would also undertake various case work with children; assist the DSL where necessary as part of the wider JW Safeguarding Team; take a lead on medical support for the children at JW, including overseeing any medical care plans; and work in partnership with our Attendance Lead to ensure outcomes for children are strong.

The successful candidate will be:

- Enthusiastic and experienced in working with families to improve outcomes.

- Knowledgeable and passionate about Child Protection and Safeguarding.

- Highly motivated to work directly with young children in supporting their pastoral needs.

- Able to work as part of a very happy and successful wider staff team.

- A very good communicator to various audiences, including parents, children and colleagues.
