Finance Administrator job summary
We are looking for a Finance Administrator to join the Trust's central finance team, playing a pivotal role in supporting the financial operations of schools within the Trust. The ideal candidate will ensure adherence to policies and regulations while contributing to the Trust's mission of delivering exceptional learning experiences for students. This position involves providing precise and timely financial and administrative support to the schools, Finance Business Partners, and the Trust Finance Manager.
Job Responsibilities include:
- Responsible for the management of the purchase ledger, processing invoices accurately and in a timely manner ensuring payment terms are adhered to
- Responsible for the sales ledger and income generating business activities of the schools, including raising and issuing of invoices when required
- Coding and seeking approval of supplier invoices, including all supporting paperwork as per financial regulation
- Uploading invoices into the Trust’s accounting software
- Complete BACS payments, ensuring payments made are accurate and aligned with purchase orders and supporting paperwork is present
- Respond and manage school or supplier queries
- Manage Trust credit card payments and subsequent reconciliations
- Maintaining contractor details on the Trust’s accounting system
- Complete bank reconciliations
The ideal candidate will have:
- Excellent administration, analytical and organisational skills
- Experience of Purchase and Sales Ledger and reconciliations
- Strong attention to detail and able to produce work at a high level of accuracy
- Experience of PS Financials or similar finance systems
- Excellent ICT skills including Excel and Word
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- The ability to work well as an individual and team
