Finance Assistant job summary
Hours: 30 hours per week. Term Time + 2 weeks during the school holidays
Interview date: 8th July 2025
Under the leadership of the CFO and reporting directly to the Finance Manager, you will provide the first point of contact for schools, suppliers and service providers for all matters relating to the purchase ledger. Working 30 hours per week, term time plus 30 inset hours per year with 2 additional weeks to be worked during school holidays.
As an ELAN finance assistant, you will be part of a small, busy and experienced team who support nine primary schools and the trust with everything related to finance. You will be responsible for administration and financial accounting procedures on a day-to-day basis whilst adhering to the trust’s and DfE’s financial regulations, procedures and audit requirements.
Excellent IT skills and experience with finance software are essential but specific training will be given on our finance systems. School experience is handy but not essential. Please review the full job description and person specification prior to application.
We have c600 staff and c3000 pupils throughout the trust. You will be based in our Locking office as part of the central services team but will have the opportunity to visit schools. This a great opportunity for you to develop further, and use your existing skills and expertise.
