Then join our exceptional, friendly and professional finance team at Outwood Grange Academies Trust in Wakefield. We are recruiting this post to work in our expanding Payroll and Pensions department and by extension support the 30,000 children we make a difference to every day.
As a prospective Finance Assistant, you should have exceptional attention to detail, an excellent aptitude for numbers, good organisational skills, and be a confident communicator.
Key Features / Benefits:
- Salary Band: £27,254 - £28,142 with annual incrementsplusinflation linked increases every April. The starting salary will be dependent on experience.
- Pension: An increasingly rare and valuable defined benefit Local Government Pension Scheme
- Holidays:26days plus bank holidays (this increases with length of service)
- Working Pattern: Full time, 37 hours Monday to Friday.

Whilst it would be helpful if you had knowledge of the education sector it is not a barrier to any applicant, as we will offer support and training to help you excel in this role.However, prior finance/payroll experience would be a significant benefit. The role will be critical to the overall effectiveness of the Finance function and provide the opportunity to develop skills and knowledge that will be of benefit to you in your future career. You will have the opportunity to take on real responsibilities, work with senior colleagues and be involved in varied project work.
