As a Finance Business Partner, you will play a key role in supporting our schools to achieve financial sustainability and strategic growth.

The Role:

As a Finance Business Partner, you will provide expert financial leadership to a group of schools within the Trust. You will work closely with Headteachers and senior leaders to support strategic financial planning, monthly budget monitoring, and the development of medium-term financial plans. Your responsibilities will include:

Leading the preparation and monitoring of school budgets.

Producing monthly budget monitoring reports and advising on financial performance.

Supporting schools in developing curriculum-led medium-term financial plans.

Ensuring compliance with Trust financial procedures and regulatory requirements.

Providing financial modelling and scenario planning to support decision-making.

We are looking for someone who:

Has experience in financial management, ideally within education or the public sector.

Can build strong relationships with school leaders and provide strategic financial advice.

Has excellent analytical, planning, and communication skills.

Is committed to the values and vision of the Flying High Partnership.

Holds a relevant finance qualification (e.g., AAT, ACCA, CIPFA) or equivalent experience.

Has a full driving licence, access to a vehicle, and is willing to travel across the Trust’s schools with a flexible approach to working across multiple sites.
