Finance Business Partner job summary

As our Finance Business Partner, you will be a trusted advisor to Headteachers, school leaders and Trust colleagues, helping to ensure that financial resources are used effectively to deliver the best possible outcomes for children and young people. Working as part of the Finance Team, you will provide expert financial planning, analysis and business partnering support, translating complex financial information into practical insights that inform decision-making. You will lead on budgeting, forecasting and financial modelling, support schools to achieve value for money, and ensure compliance with regulatory and Trust requirements. Building strong relationships across the Trust, you will work collaboratively with leaders and budget holders, offering professional challenge, guidance and support while championing continuous improvement, financial sustainability and our Trust values of courage, compassion, commitment and collaboration in everything you do.

About you

If you:

Have experience working in an accounting role within a commercial or public sector organisation, or an accounting practice.

Have good financial and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and provide clear, insightful advice to support decision-making.

Can build positive and trusted relationships with school leaders, budget holders and colleagues, acting as a professional and approachable partner.

Are highly organised, with excellent attention to detail and a commitment to delivering accurate, high-quality work to agreed deadlines.

Can take a proactive and solution-focused approach, using initiative to identify opportunities, resolve issues and drive continuous improvement.

Are committed to developing your skills.
