Due to continued growth, an exciting new opportunity has arisen for an experienced, self-motivated Finance Manager to join our Central Finance Team. Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will support the Senior Finance Manager in the key areas of payroll, financial management and business operations across our Multi-Academy Trust.

Our Central Finance Team operate a hybrid working arrangement. Initially, the role will be based in one of our three secondary schools (Avon Valley Academy, Clarendon Academy or Kingdown School) for at least two days per week. Once full training and induction have taken place, the requirement to be office-based will reduce.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Assisting with the monthly payroll ensuring information is processed accurately
  • Preparation and submission of statutory reports to HMRC and pension providers
  • Supporting the Senior Finance Manager with month end routines
  • Monitoring budgets at department and school level and providing support to budget holders
  • Ensuring compliance with the Trust’s Finance Manual and Academy Trust Handbook
