Finance Manager job summary

The Forge Brook Trust is a newly formed and growing multi-academy trust within West Midlands. We have a shared mission of Forging Brighter Futures for every child within our community. We are seeking an experienced, driven and collaborative Finance Manager to play a pivotal role in leading and developing our financial operations.

Working closely with the Chief Finance Officer, you will ensure robust financial operations and compliance across our Academies. You will oversee financial reporting, budget monitoring and audit preparation working closely with our Academy Business Managers and Finance Staff. You will provide expert advice to Headteachers, Business Managers and academy teams to support sound financial decision-making.

This is a strategic yet hands-on role, where you’ll manage budgets along with budget preparation, along with completing month end packs and reconciliations in collaboration with Business Manager. You will also have responsibility for Value for money and tendering practices that enable our Academies to thrive.

The successful candidate will have proven financial management expertise, excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of stakeholders. The completion of the AAT qualification will be supported.
