An exciting Finance Officer job opportunity to join a friendly MAT, ideal for somebody on short or no notice.

Our incredible Chief Executive, Rebecca (Becks) Boomer-Clark, joined in 2021 and has a clear objective, an excellent education for every child, in every classroom, every day regardless of background, geography or ability. You can be based out of any of the regional offices listed above and you'll be expected to be in the office 3 days per week and working from home the remainder of the time.

Your new role
Due to a maternity leave we are looking for a Finance Officer to join our team on a fixed term basis until the end of December 2026. This is a brilliant opportunity for somebody wanting to join a lovely team. You will gain experience of working in a complex Multi Academy Trust and be provided with training and support throughout.
Reporting into one of our Finance Team Leaders, you will support our Finance Business Partners by posting all transactions accurately and in a timely manner and support schools to ensure optimum use of resources. Ideally you will be a part or fully qualified AAT and have experience using an accounts package for general bookkeeping, including producing accounts and management reports and have experience in financial operations.

What you'll need to succeed
You will have accuracy in reporting detailed financial information and be confident in providing clear written commentary and explanation. You will have the ability to prioritise workload to meet deadlines whilst dealing with a number of projects simultaneously. You will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, good IT skills, particularly Excel and be a self-starter who is comfortable working with limited day-to-day supervision.
