At Cams Hill School, pupils are at the heart of everything we do. We believe that providing the very best education gives our pupils the strongest life chances, and we work together as a community to make this a reality.

We are seeking to appoint a warm, efficient, and proactive First Aid and Reception Supervisor to join our supportive administrative team. This is a vital pupil-facing and front-of-house role that serves as the first point of contact for pupils, staff and visitors, delivering first aid as needed, managing the school’s medical room, and maintaining accurate records while also supervising reception, welcoming visitors, managing a range of enquiries, and ensuring the front office runs smoothly.

Our support staff play a central role in the daily life of the school. Clear routines, shared expectations and close teamwork across our front office and administrative teams mean that every pupil, parent and visitor receives a consistent, welcoming and professional experience.

We welcome applications from candidates with experience in a school, healthcare or customer-facing setting, as well as those looking to begin a career in school support. Training will be provided, including safeguarding training and, where needed, the First Aid at Work qualification, alongside ongoing professional development.

This role offers the opportunity to work in a friendly, supportive and ambitious school community, where staff development is prioritised and collaboration is central to our success. If you are looking to develop your career within a culture of professional growth and high expectations, we would be delighted to receive your application.

The successful candidate will:

Have an understanding of safeguarding (training will be provided)

Be approachable, professional, and caring, with a calm and reassuring manner

Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Demonstrate sound administrative experience and confidence with IT systems

Hold (or be willing to complete) a valid First Aid at Work qualification

Be able to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and remain composed under pressure

Show a clear commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children

Be keen to contribute positively to the Cams Hill community and promote our core values of courtesy, courage and commitment

Key Responsibilities

Welcoming and assisting visitors, parents, staff, and pupils in person, on the phone, and via email

Maintaining the reception area and ensuring a professional first impression of the school

Providing first aid assistance and supporting pupils' health needs

Maintaining medical supplies, records, and incident logs

Supporting administrative tasks including attendance, communication, and data entry

Liaising with school staff, parents/carers, and external agencies as required

If you would like to join a school that develops pupils to become positive contributors to society and values the expertise and wellbeing of its staff, we would very much like to hear from you.

Visits to the school to see us in action are welcomed and if you require any information regarding the role please contact Kerrie Sykes, PA to the Headteacher.

We review applications regularly and interviews may be arranged before the closing date. We reserve the right to close this advert early if we identify suitable candidates, so please submit your application as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.
