What skills and experience we're looking for

The Chase School is seeking to appoint a committed, calm and highly organised First Aid Officer to take responsibility for the day-to-day operation of our First Aid provision.

This is a key pastoral role within the school, providing the first point of contact for medical and first aid needs across the site. You will ensure students receive appropriate care and support, while also maintaining accurate records, coordinating medical responses, and supporting the wider health, safety and safeguarding of the school community.

Working as part of our Pastoral Team, you will manage the First Aid Room environment, oversee first aid provision across the school, and liaise closely with parents, staff and external professionals. You will also line manage First Aid staff and contribute to the development of effective systems and procedures to ensure high standards of care and compliance.

The successful candidate will be confident working independently, able to remain calm under pressure, and highly competent in managing competing priorities in a busy school environment. Strong communication, excellent organisational skills, and a professional, empathetic approach are essential.

Experience of working with children or young people is required, along with good ICT skills and the ability to maintain accurate records using electronic systems. While a First Aid qualification is desirable, full training and development will be provided for the right candidate. Though this role is to start in September, we would like to undertake First Aid training over the summer - currently these are the dates available dates: 9th, 20th or 31st July or 6th, 13th or 24th August (which are subject to availability).

What the school offers its staff

This role plays an important part in ensuring the safety, welfare and wellbeing of all students, and offers the opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to the life of the school.

Closing date:22nd June 2026 at 12 midnight

Interviews will be held week commencing 29th June 2026
