Fixed Term Teaching Assistant job summary
This is an exciting opportunity to join Manor Primary School and Westcountry Schools Trust. We are a dynamic organisation with our students and staff at our heart. We are looking to appoint a teaching assistant to join a committed, supportive and hardworking team who work together to provide a caring, inclusive environment where there is a strong ethos of achievement for all.
NJC Grade C, 30.25 hours per week, term time only, Monday to Friday. This post is fixed term until the end of the summer term 2025.
We would like someone who is keen to support children’s learning as part of a flexible and hardworking team. Suitable candidates will have a very good standard of English and maths, have excellent communication skills, be able to use their initiative and be computer literate. Additionally, candidates will have a very good understanding of inclusion and be able to sensitively support children. You will be required to support learning and deliver interventions either in small groups or on a 1-1 basis, following specific plans. You will also be required to assist in recording pupil assessments and providing general classroom support.
The successful candidate will need:
Excellent communication skills with a high standard of spoken and written English
Excellent mathematical understanding
Successful experience of working in a primary school with children who have a variety of needs.
