REQUIRED FOR SEPTEMBER 2025
Stoke Fleming Primary school have two vacancies for a Teaching Assistant to join the team in September 2025. Due to our growing numbers of children, we are seeking to appoint two dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistants. These are full-time, fixed-term position until August 2026, with the potential for extension beyond this date. We can also offer a part-time job share across the week if you are not looking for a full-time position.
We are looking for a candidate who ideally:
- Has a strong understanding of child development and the EYFS framework
- Is experienced in supporting children with special educational needs, including adapting strategies to meet individual needs
- Has a good knowledge of effective early years teaching methodologies, including play-based learning
- Possesses excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, parents/guardians, and staff members
- Is patient, empathetic, and has a genuine passion for supporting young children's growth and well-being
Safeguarding Commitment We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and vulnerable adults, and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. This role requires an enhanced DBS disclosure.
Fluency in English
This role requires the ability to fulfil all spoken and written aspects of the role with confidence and fluency in English.
