Risedale is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Food and Art Technician to join our dedicated team. We are immensely proud of our staff, who are key in creating the excellent, unique learning experience that defines our school.

You will play a vital role in supporting our Food Technology and Art curriculums, ensuring both departments run smoothly and providing essential assistance to teachers and pupils to foster a safe, enjoyable, and effective learning environment.

The Role: What You'll Be Doing

As a vital part of the Food Technology and Art teams, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Curriculum Support: Assisting teachers and pupils with planned activities and practical sessions.

  • Preparation: Preparing, setting up, and clearing away ingredients, materials, and equipment for lessons.

  • Maintenance & Safety: Ensuring a safe and effective working environment, including checking and maintaining equipment and managing stock.

  • Operational Smoothness: Playing a key role in the daily organisation and smooth operation of both faculties.

What We Are Looking For

We are looking to appoint a highly effective Technician with:

  • An academic qualification equivalent to NVQ Level 2, or GCSEs grade 4 / C (or equivalent).

  • Experience working in a school, with young people or in a laboratory

  • Excellent organisation and communication skills.

  • The proven ability to work effectively within a team while also demonstrating strong independence and initiative.
