Stuart Bathurst Catholic High School is a wonderful school in the heart of Sandwell which has been on a journey of rapid improvement.
In our most recent OFSTED report (April 2024) we achieved ‘Good’ (Grade 2) in all areas, including 6th Form.
This most recent achievement, along with our ‘Outstanding’ Section 48 report (April 2022) enables prospective candidates to develop themselves as teachers in a proud, successful and supportive school community.
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Art and Food Technology Technician to join our supportive team in a vibrant and forward-thinking secondary school. The successful candidate will provide practical support to the Art and Food Technology departments, ensuring the smooth running of day-to-day operations. This role is ideal for someone with a passion for both creative and culinary disciplines, and who is highly organised and proactive.
The Art and Food Technology Technician will be responsible for preparing and maintaining equipment, resources, and materials for lessons, as well as assisting teachers in delivering high-quality practical sessions. The role includes the organisation and maintenance of classrooms, managing stock and supplies, and ensuring health and safety standards are adhered to in both the Art and Food Technology areas.
The ideal candidate will have experience in a similar technical role, a solid understanding of Art and Food Technology practices, and the ability to work well in a fast-paced educational environment. Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a willingness to collaborate with staff and students are key attributes for success in this role.
