What skills and experience we're looking for

We have an exciting opportunity to appoint a Food and Nutrition Teacher to join an ambitious, successful, forward-thinking Technology Department. With 7 teaching staff and 3 support staff in the department, our highly skilled staff cover Design Technology, Food and Nutrition and Child Development. All are popular subjects at GCSE. (See department information for further detail on our successes.)

The Technology Department are passionate about developing students’ knowledge and understanding, as well as practical skills. The Food & Nutrition Teacher will work with the Food and Nutrition Co-ordinator, and Head of Technology, to deliver the Food & Nutrition curriculum. We are looking for someone who is passionate about Food & Nutrition and willing to go that extra mile to give our students the best experience possible. Improving teaching and learning is at the forefront of what we do and therefore someone who is adaptable, creative, and reflective would be a perfect addition to our already successful department.

The role of Food and Nutrition Teacher is 3 days a week (0.6 FTE), but there is the option to work 4 days a week (0.8 FTE) for a candidate willing to also teach Child Development at Key Stage 4. Both options are available on a permanent basis starting in September 2025.
