Food Technician job summary
Stowmarket High School has an exciting future. We are seeking to appoint a motivated, enthusiastic and energetic Food Technician to join our team. This role is for 9 hours per week, 39 weeks per year. Whilst previous experience in food and nutrition would be advantageous, training would be given to applicants demonstrating a willingness and enthusiasm to support the teaching staff prepare a safe and clean learning environment.
The daily responsibilities are likely to include any of the following;
The preparation of equipment and classrooms.
Maintaining cleanliness and safety in food preparation areas
Supporting the teaching staff in preparing a safe, clean and pleasant learning environment.
Assisting students in lessons
Ensuing that health and safety standards are upheld

Stowmarket High School is situated in picturesque mid Suffolk with excellent commuter links to Cambridge, Ipswich and Norwich. We are an inclusive 11 – 18 Academy and part of Waveney Valley Academies Trust. 6th Form is currently not being offered. Construction of a new school is now complete on our current site and we have moved into our new state of the art school.
