Shared role – split between Food Technology (approx. 75%) and Art/Textiles (approx. 25%)
We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and exceptionally organised Student Support and Administrative Assistant to assist our Food Technology Department and Art/Textiles Department. The successful applicant will play a pivotal role in ensuring both departments are supported fully with all practical administrative tasks and will also be expected to make a positive contribution to the team ethos of both faculties.
The successful candidate will ideally have experience working in a School environment and with students. Experience working in either Food Technology/Catering or Art would be beneficial but not essential. The role will also involve working with students to support their practical ability with Food Technology and Art/Textiles within the classroom supporting the main classroom teacher with practical’s, including the preparation and tidy/clean down equipment.
We are delighted and proud of what our students achieve in both Art and Food Technology; they are both popular and students at Key Stage 3 and 4 engage extremely well in both subjects. Results have been good and often above the national average in recent years at GCSE.
