What skills and experience we're looking for

Key Responsibilities

  • To provide general support to staff to ensure the smooth operation of Food and Nutrition and Textiles area including the preparation and cleaning of materials and resources.
  • To provide technical and administrative support to teaching staff in Food and Nutrition and Textiles including some in-class support with pupil activities.
  • To support the teaching staff to ensure the safe and proper use and maintenance of resources and equipment.
  • To assist in the preparation of demonstration material and practical activity under the direction of the class teacher.
  • Promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and young people in accordance with the school’s Safeguarding and Child Protection policies.

What We Are Looking For

  • Minimum of 5 A*-C GCSE qualifications (or equivalent), including English and Mathematics

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Ability to multitask, prioritise, and manage time effectively.
  • Friendly, approachable, and professional attitude.

Work Environment

Based primarily at Twynham School, you could have the opportunity to work across both of our sites (including The Grange School), contributing to the cohesive operation of our school community.
