What skills and experience we're looking for

Rochester Grammar School are seeking a French Foreign Language Assistant to work across their French Department carrying out 1:1 and group interventions, helping raise attainment throughout. Under direction of French teaching staff, the Foreign Language Assistant will take responsibility for weekly speaking lessons with individual students and/or small groups to include topic-related materials that will stimulate discussion.

The successful candidate will be fluent in French and enjoy working with students in small groups and on a one-to-one basis. They will supervise and support students in undertaking work including online packages, key skills or subject specific work set by the department, working with teaching staff to design packages of work for a lesson bank in order to enhance quality of learning. They will practice specific examination skills and conduct practice examinations with individual students, together with undertaking individual tutoring of students as directed by the Curriculum Leader to support exam preparation.
