French Language Assistant job summary

The role

We are looking for an enthusiastic, innovative Foreign Language Assistant to join a dynamic and energetic department

The successful candidate will be given the opportunity to work with small groups of students and provide one-to-one linguistic support to students at all levels up to A Level in this highly successful school.

The role involves helping to develop students' fluency in speaking and general linguistic and grammatical competencies.

The candidate will work closely with the Head of Department and will take responsibility for running the language club supported by the KS3 Coordinator.

To be aware of, and operate within, all policies relating to student welfare and guidance, especially in the area of Child Protection.

The ideal candidate

Although PGCE or other teaching qualifications are not required, fluency in the language and up-to-date knowledge of the culture and current affairs is essential. The department boasts a large pool of resources to which the candidates will have access.
