Due to the promotion of our current classteacher, we wish to appoint a highly motivated and ambitious practitioner to join our dynamic team.
Thomas Barnes is a vibrant primary school in Tamworth which was judged to be Outstanding by Ofsted in 2014. First and foremost, we are looking for someone who is passionate about teaching and learning and is an excellent teacher with good subject knowledge and experience of leading subjects to a high standard.
Skills we are looking for:
- An excellent classroom practitioner
- An understanding of curriculum and pedagogical issues in relation to primary education
- Knowledge of the KS2 SATs
- Creative and stimulating teaching strategies which engage and motivate pupils
- Experience of leading and developing a subject area(s)
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- The ability to work as part of a supportive and enthusiastic team
- Someone who is committed to raising standards
- Someone who has the highest expectations for behaviour
- A creative and enthusiastic individual
- An ability to model good practice and engage in self-reflection
