What skills and experience we're looking for

King’s Cliffe Endowed Primary School is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and inspirational teacher to work as part of our KS2 team in Year 4. We are looking for a teacher who is creative, well-organised and can demonstrate high expectations in all areas of the curriculum. The successful candidate must also wish to become an active member of a committed team within our school. This is an exciting time to be joining our friendly and supportive school that strives to ensure all our children ‘grow a love for learning’ and experience success daily. We welcome applications from experienced teachers and ECTs.

We are willing to be flexible for the right candidate and will consider applications from teachers who are interested in a full-time or part-time (Monday – Wednesday) position (please indicate your preference when applying). The earliest start date is 15th April 2024; however, for the right candidate we are willing to wait until 1st September 2024. There is a strong possibility of this becoming permanent at the end of the maternity contract.

We are located 15 minutes from Stamford, 15 minutes from Corby, 20 minutes from Peterborough and 30 minutes from Kettering.

What the school offers its staff

We would look for the successful candidate to have:

  • A passion for teaching and learning
  • High expectations of learning and behaviour
  • A thorough knowledge and understanding of the curriculum
  • High expectations of themselves and others
  • The ability to motivate and challenge
  • Great teamwork skills and the ability to maintain a positive outlook

We can offer the successful candidate:

  • Wonderful children who love to learn and have an outstanding attitude to their learning
  • A dedicated, friendly team of staff, parents and governors
  • A curriculum that promotes outdoor learning
  • A programme of continuous professional development that considers your area of interest and expertise
  • Support and encouragement
  • A culture of achievement and success for all

Visits to the school are strongly recommended and we are happy to e-mail an application form on request, or this can be downloaded from our website, along with a Job Description, Safeguarding and Child Protection Policy and Procedures and the Safer Recruitment and DBS Check Policy. https://www.kingscliffeschool.co.uk/news/?pid=328&nid=12
