What skills and experience we're looking for

The Governors are seeking to appoint an excellent and inspirational permanent Deputy Head Teacher from 1st January 2026 for this successful, inclusive and outward looking junior school. The successful candidate will play a key part in our continuing improvement journey and help us achieve excellence in all areas of our work.

As our new Deputy Head Teacher, you will:

  • be absolutely committed to developing the potential of every child
  • be able to build on our current practice and work with colleagues to maintain our high standards and drive further improvement
  • be caring, approachable and resilient
  • be able to motivate and inspire both staff and pupils
  • have the ability to develop strong working relationships with staff, pupils, parents, governors, and other stakeholders.
  • be an excellent classroom practitioner; being able to lead by example to further improve our teaching and learning practices
  • be willing to go the extra mile for our pupils and staff
