Our Story:
The Bridge Easton School is a specialist school for children and young people with complex needs, located in Easton, Norfolk. Since opening in January 2023, the school has experienced significant growth, reaching the final phase of its planned expansion in September 2026.
We provide education and support for 203 children and young people with severe learning difficulties, cognition and learning needs, and autism, many of whom require specialist support with everyday living skills, communication, personal care, and developing independence. Through a highly personalised approach, we help pupils access learning, build confidence, and achieve the best possible outcomes for their future.
Our vision is to work collaboratively with pupils, families, and professionals across education, health, and care services to ensure every child and young person has a positive, successful, and meaningful educational journey.
Alongside our main school provision, we offer our specialist Meadow Provision, which delivers highly personalised education for children and young people with exceptionally complex needs and autism. Meadow classes provide smaller learning environments and, where required, intensive support through enhanced staffing ratios, including individualised one-to-one provision.
At The Bridge Easton School, we are committed to creating a nurturing, inclusive, and aspirational environment where every pupil is supported to achieve their fullest potential and develop the skills they need for life beyond school.

Why we are recruiting:
We are seeking a resilient, reflective and highly committed Teacher to join our growing specialist school and lead learning for some of our most complex and vulnerable pupils. This exciting opportunity is to teach a small KS3 class of pupils with a range of complex learning and cognition needs severe learning difficulties, Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), and significant communication, sensory and emotional regulation needs. As such, it is ideally suited to a candidate with previous experience of working with pupils with complex special educational needs and a strong understanding of adapting teaching to meet highly individual learning profiles. A thorough knowledge of the EYFS and primary national curriculum would also be highly desirable.
Many of the pupils you will work with require highly personalised approaches to learning and support. At times, pupils may display behaviours that challenge, including behaviours that may cause harm to themselves, others or the environment. Successful teachers will be committed to understanding behaviour as a form of communication and will be skilled in building positive, trusting relationships that enable pupils to feel safe, valued and ready to learn.
Working alongside experienced Teaching Assistants, behaviour specialists, external therapists and school leaders, you will plan and deliver a highly personalised curriculum that promotes learning, communication, emotional development, independence and wellbeing.
This is a unique opportunity to make a profound difference to the lives of children and young people whose educational journeys require patience, creativity, resilience and unwavering belief in their potential.
We strongly encourage prospective applicants to visit the school during the working day to experience our provision firsthand and meet members of our team.
