FULL TIME TEACHER OF SCIENCE

Nunnery Wood High School requires an enthusiastic and inspiring teacher of Science to join our successful and exciting school. The Science Department is looking for a well-qualified teacher to teach Science within a strong department.
Nunnery Wood High School is oversubscribed and enjoys an excellent reputation in the region. Our recent Ofsted described both results and student behaviour as excellent. Our intake is broad, from the academically gifted to students requiring nurturing in numeracy and literacy. We are ambitious for them all and share a deep conviction that they should all reach their potential with us.
The Science Department is developing rapidly and outcomes at GCSE this year were excellent. This is a fantastic opportunity for dedicated and driven professionals to join our team. An excellent knowledge and understanding of the subject is essential. You must possess the skills and determination to make a significant difference to the lives of our students. The ability to teach Key Stage 4 Chemistry or Physics would be desirable. Applications are invited from both newly qualified and experienced professionals.

Welcome to Nunnery Wood High School.
Nunnery Wood High School is an academy in Worcester, Worcestershire, England. It is a co-educational school and a Science College with about 1500 students on roll aged from 11 to 16. In 1983 following a restructuring of schools in Worcestershire the Nunnery Wood Secondary School was renamed Nunnery Wood High School.
The school campus is located on the edge of Worcester, surrounded by some 15 acres (61,000 m2) of gardens and playing fields which it shares with the adjacent Sixth Form College. The school benefits from refurbished or purpose built extensions including facilities for Science, English, Music, Art & Design, Languages and ICT. The school’s sports centre has an all-weather outdoor pitch and athletics track.
