General Kitchen Assistant job summary

We are looking to appoint a General Kitchen Assistant to join our friendly kitchen team at Chantry Primary Academy, the successful candidate will need to be reliable and punctual.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Carry out preparation of foods, assist the cook or kitchen manager will cooking foods
  • Assist with setting up the service counter, serving food and cleaning area afterwards
  • Set up the dining hall, clearing and cleaning area afterwards
  • Additional cleaning duties as directed by the kitchen manager

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Experience of working with children.
  • Experience in the catering sector is desirable
  • Ability to be assertive when necessary
  • Ability to understand and follow relevant procedures, e.g. health and safety, child protection, school behaviour policy

Working Hours:

    15 hours per week - Monday - Friday 11.00 am - 2.00pm, term time plus 4 additional days

    Salary £8,262 actual annual
