General Kitchen Assistant job summary

We are looking to appoint a General Kitchen Assistant to join our friendly kitchen team at Chantry Primary Academy, the successful candidate will need to be reliable and punctual.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Carry out preparation of foods, assist the cook or kitchen manager will cooking foods
- Assist with setting up the service counter, serving food and cleaning area afterwards
- Set up the dining hall, clearing and cleaning area afterwards
- Additional cleaning duties as directed by the kitchen manager
We are looking for someone who has:
- Experience of working with children.
- Experience in the catering sector is desirable
- Ability to be assertive when necessary
- Ability to understand and follow relevant procedures, e.g. health and safety, child protection, school behaviour policy
Working Hours:
15 hours per week - Monday - Friday 11.00 am - 2.00pm, term time plus 4 additional days
Salary £8,262 actual annual
