The Role:

We are seeking to recruit a Kitchen Assistant primarily to help set up and clear the hall and assist with the serving of lunches. Our Cook, Miss Robinson makes amazing meals and we have a high take up from the children for our lunches at 80%. You will be hardworking, with a keen interest in catering and a positive approach, who can assist the Cook in delivering an efficient in-house catering service operating to the highest standards of food safety. The post holder will do this by carrying out duties such as basic food preparation, setting out and putting away dining furniture, serving meals to children and staff, washing up and cleaning the kitchen and dining room.

The successful candidates duties include:

Carry out basic food preparation e.g. cutting up fruit and vegetables, weighing ingredients, removing items from the oven

Set up dining room by moving tables and chairs

Serve food and drinks to the pupils and staff

Tidy up and clean the dining room and kitchen areas

We Are Looking for Someone Who:

Is enthusiastic, hardworking and works well in a fast paced kitchen environment

Can work well as part of a team

Is willing to undertake necessary training e.g. food hygiene

Has experience of undertaking basic kitchen tasks
