What skills and experience we're looking for

Horizons Specialist Academy Trust consists of eight Academies and one Sixth Form across the Tees Valley area serving a population of in excess of 1000 students aged 5 to 19 with a broad range of special educational needs.

Mo Mowlam Academy joined the Trust in April 2019 and currently caters for students aged 5 to 16 years who have SEMHD as their identified primary need.

We are seeking an outstanding, creative and enthusiastic General Teacher to join our team at Mo Mowlam Academy. The right candidate will need to be inspirational with high expectations of our children and themselves. Whilst the post is not subject-specific, experience of teaching a range of subjects would be beneficial. This role requires flexibility and the ability to contribute to a range of curriculum areas in response to student needs.

Previous experience of working with students with SEMHD would be desirable but not essential. Good communication and interpersonal skills are essential requirements of this post.
