Welcome to Easingwold Primary School. We are a rapidly growing and popular school at the heart of our community. Despite being the largest primary school in the local vicinity, we are very much one big happy family. Our children love coming to school and are eager to learn and develop.
Our school is a happy, caring and inclusive place where we all work collaboratively towards our mission statement of Excellence for All. We strive to ensure that all children receive an excellent education regardless of their starting points and welcome and accept everybody.
Governors, Leaders and Staff are committed to providing the very best education for our community and preparing children for the next step of their education and beyond. To do this, we provide ‘indelible’ experiences for our children which spark their curiosity and develop a lifelong love of learning. Our carefully planned curriculum ensures that they build up their skills and knowledge over time, learning and remembering more as they move through the school.
We are passionate about teaching children to be independent and resilient as we see these as vital keys to success. We teach children a range of self-scaffolding techniques which help them to think for themselves and develop the ability to keep on trying and never give up.
Our school prides itself on our excellent behaviour and we are proud of how polite and courteous our children are. We receive many compliments about our manners, attitudes and behaviour wherever we go.
Educational visits and residential trips are a big part of ECPS life and we are passionate about providing these as well as a variety of extracurricular clubs to support our work on independence, resilience and collaboration. We place developing the whole child at the centre of our curriculum.
I hope that this has given you a flavour of what we are about and what we can offer your child. The best way to see us in action is to arrange a visit. Please contact the school office on 01347 821282 to book an appointment.
I very much look forward to meeting you and showing you around our wonderful school.
Mrs A.Cottrell
Headteacher.
