What skills and experience we're looking for
Romanby Primary School are seeking to appoint a motivated, enthusiastic and committed teaching assistant to join our team. The post holder will work in a Y2 classroom supporting a child with significant additional needs on a 1:1 basis.
The successful candidate will preferably have had experience of supporting children with ASD needs. We are looking to appoint someone who is enthusiastic and can work as part of a wider team of school staff. The successful candidate will work closely with the class teacher, SENCo, other support staff, parents and external professionals. They must be able to secure good relationships, have a calm manner, a positive attitude and be able use their own initiative.
This post will be offered on a temporary basis but will be reviewed on an annual basis.

At Romanby Primary School children enter in Reception and leave at the end of Year 6. There are currently two hundred and seventy four children on roll. We hope that each child will be very happy in school, fulfilling their potential in all aspects of their development.
