We are looking for a Subject Lead of Geography to join our team here at City of Peterborough Academy.

We’re looking for an enthusiastic and ambitious Geography Subject Lead to join our team and take an active role in shaping an exciting, engaging and ambitious Geography curriculum.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an excellent classroom practitioner who is ready to lead, inspire and make a real difference. You’ll champion high-quality teaching and learning, support colleagues to develop their practice and use your subject expertise to ensure every pupil has the opportunity to achieve their very best.
About you:
- Demonstrate excellent Geography subject knowledge and classroom practice
- Have high expectations for pupil achievement, behaviour and engagement
- Lead the development and continuous improvement of the Geography curriculum
- Use assessment and progress information effectively to support positive pupil outcomes
- Support and develop colleagues, promoting high-quality teaching and learning
- Contribute positively to the wider leadership and development of the Academy
- Be committed to the safeguarding, wellbeing and personal development of all pupils

The City of Peterborough Academy was opened in September 2013 by Greenwood Academies Trust (GAT) after a £13.8m capital build. Based on Reeves Way in Peterborough, the academy has quickly grown from strength to strength. A dedicated team of staff aim to help support every child in reaching their full potential.
