Wildern School is a large over-subscribed secondary school in Hedge End, Southampton that believes every student matters and every moment counts.
We have an opportunity for a passionate, enthusiastic, innovative German Teacher to join the MFL Team. The ability to teach French or Spanish to KS3 or GCSE would be an advantage. This role is suitable for both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (NQTs) alike. Applications from Early Career Teachers (NQTs) due to qualify summer 2022 are welcomed and an excellent ECT (NQT) package would be available if appropriate.
The MFL department is an innovative, outward looking team, teaching French, German and Spanish. Our scheme of work is evidence-led, drawing on a range of sources, including EPI and recent work from NCELP. The successful candidate would have the opportunity to further develop the German provision and take a leading role in promoting the subject across the school. The MFL department has a number of international links and regular trips abroad, including an Exchange with a school near Stuttgart that has been running for over 35 years.
