What skills and experience we're looking for
Please note that this advert is on behalf of the Primary Advantage Federation. Holy Trinity is one of our schools.
Primary Advantage is a group of seven schools in Hackney, working together because we believe our schools can gain many benefits from working collaboratively. We are governed through a Federation structure, working to the School Governance (Federation) Regulations. As a large Federation, getting our governance right is crucial to the success of the organisation and enables the Central Governing Board (CGB) to discharge responsibilities and have a clear line of sight into our schools.
As Governance Manager, you will be central to ensuring that governance across Primary Advantage is robust, compliant and operating at the highest standard. You will act as the bedrock for all the Federation’s governance delivery. You will provide core proactive clerking support to our CGB, Business and Finance Committee (BFC), Outcomes and Provisions Committee (OPC) and Local Advisory Boards (LABs).
This is a strategic and operational role where you will not only provide high-quality clerking support but also actively contribute to the development and continuous improvement of our governance framework.
We are looking for someone who:
Has strong knowledge of school governance and regulatory frameworks
Has experience of clerking or governance support at a senior level
Demonstrates excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
Can interpret and present complex information clearly and concisely
Is confident working with senior leaders and governance stakeholders
Is proactive, solution-focused, and committed to continuous improvement
What the school offers its staff
We can offer:
A collaborative Federation committed to improving outcomes for all pupils
A network of seven schools with shared expertise and ambition
A key strategic role influencing governance and decision-making
A values-driven organisation focused on community impact
If you’re ready to take on a role where your expertise will directly influence the effectiveness of governance and the success of our schools, we would welcome your application.

We work with the Children and Families Service, the police, health services and other relevant agencies to support and promote the welfare of children and to protect them from harm. We work in line with statutory guidance for schools and colleagues: Keeping Children Safe in Education.
Primary Advantage and its schools strive to be diverse and inclusive communities, places where we can ALL be ourselves without prejudice or bias. We welcome applicants from all cultures and backgrounds to reflect the community we serve and we continue to positively advocate for diverse representation.
