Bishop Hogarth Catholic Education Trust is seeking to appoint a proactive and detail-oriented Governance Officer.

This is an exciting opportunity to join our Trust and play a key role in supporting the consistent delivery of effective governance across all our schools. We are able to offer this role on a term-time only or whole-time basis to better accommodate the successful candidate. As Governance Officer, you will help ensure our schools operate within a clear and fair governance framework—overseeing processes such as parental complaints, pupil suspensions and exclusions, and providing expert advice on governance matters.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting schools and stakeholders on governance processes
  • Managing governance enquiries and maintaining accurate records
  • Assisting with compliance, policy development, and statutory requirements
  • Acting as Governance Professional for Local Governing Committees and meetings of Directors

We are looking for someone with strong organisational and communication skills, excellent attention to detail, and a commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. Knowledge of governance frameworks in schools or trusts and proficiency with IT systems is essential.

If you are enthusiastic, adaptable, and passionate about supporting effective governance, we would love to hear from you.
