The role offers flexibility through hybrid working, with an average of 14 hours per week, including some evening meetings.

Working closely with the Trust Board, Local Governing Committees, and senior leaders, you will provide expert clerking services, professional guidance, and high-quality administrative support. This role is essential to maintaining strong, compliant, and efficient governance that enables our Trust to deliver the very best outcomes for our students.

Key Responsibilities

As our Governance Officer, you will:

  • Provide professional clerking and administrative support for the Trust Board and its committees.

  • Ensure the Trust’s governance arrangements operate efficiently, effectively, and in full compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.

  • Support the implementation and ongoing operation of governance processes in line with the Trust’s Scheme of Delegation.

  • Act as a key point of reference for procedural advice, enabling Trustees and Governors to focus on strategic priorities.

  • Organise and manage meeting logistics, including the preparation and circulation of agendas, papers, and reports.

  • Accurately record minutes and follow-up actions, ensuring clear, timely and compliant documentation.

Why Join Us?

  • Opportunity to play a central role in shaping strong, effective governance across the Trust and its Committees.

  • Flexible, hybrid working arrangements.

  • A supportive, collaborative environment where your expertise is valued.

  • The chance to contribute to the success and strategic development of our educational community.

If you are proactive, professional, and ready to make a meaningful impact within a growing Trust, we would be delighted to hear from you.

We reserve the right to interview on receipt of application and prior to the advertised deadline.
