What skills and experience we're looking for

St Teresa of Calcutta Catholic Academy Trust is seeking an exceptionalGovernance Officer to join our central team at a pivotal point in our journey.This is not simply a clerking role, we are intentionally building a professional, connected and values driven function, one that plays a central role in improving outcomes for children and young people across our Trust.

We are working to create a cohesive governance community: well-suported, highly effective and united by a shared commitment to service, accountability and improvement. Governance within our Trust is purposeful and integral to ensuring that every child receives an education they deserve.

You will work closely with the Head of Governance and the soon-to-be appointed Governance Manager, forming part of a growing central team that is shaping how governance operates across all our schools.

You will provide high-quality clerking, coordination and governance support across Local Governing Boards and panels, ensuring governance is well-organised, compliant and impactful.

Your work will include prepating and clerking meetings, producing clear and accurate mintues, ensuring actions are followed through and providing procedural advice to support effective governance. You will also coordinate governor recruitment, elections and appointments, supporting board development and induction, maintain governance records and statutory compliance, and contribute to strong engagement across our governance community.

Our Trust began in 2017, and we currently comprise six schools, four primary and two secondary. Over the coming months and years, we anticipate more Catholic schools to join us on our journey.
