Governance Officer job summary
The Sir John Brunner Foundation seeks to appoint a Governance & Compliance Officer to join the central team, to assist the Head of Governance & Compliance in providing a professional, effective and consistent governance and compliance service across the Sir John Brunner Foundation and its academies and provide administrative support to the central executive leadership team.
This is an exciting time to be joining our Multi Academy Trust, of three High Schools and a Sixth Form College, which collectively educates over 4300 children, and employs over 450 professionals.
Each academy within the Foundation operates at the heart of its local community. The Foundation’s offices are based at Sir John Deane’s Sixth Form College which is a modern purpose-built campus set in beautiful grounds. The other Academies, The County High School Leftwich, Middlewich High School and The Macclesfield Academy, are all based within Cheshire.
To be successful in post you will have previous experience of working in a clerical or administrative role and be able to take meeting notes, accurately and efficiently. Experience of clerking or acting as a secretary to committees or boards would be desirable. You must be competent at using MS Office, have strong customer service skills, be an excellent communicator and be highly organised and methodical.
