Graduate Teaching Assistant - English job summary

Ormiston Chadwick Academy opened in Widnes in September 2014 serving the community of West Widnes.   Our Academy is large enough to offer an outstanding curriculum but small enough to have a strong community ethos in which all students are known and nurtured to achieve their potential.

The successful candidate must:

·      Be educated to degree level

·      Understand how to manage students with SEND, including ADHD

·      Be competent in working with students on a daily basis to improve their learning

·      Follow and implement all the policies and procedures set out by the Academy

·      Build positive relationships with students whilst maintaining professional boundaries

·      Have high expectations of students in terms of learning, achievement and behaviour

·      Have enthusiasm for developing innovative approaches to learning, teaching, mentoring and guidance
