GUIDANCE LEADER - CAVENDISH SCHOOL - SECONDARY PHASE
Permanent contract - 37 hours per week (Monday - Friday)
Term Time only (incl INSET days) plus 1 extra week in the school holidays
Single Status Grade 6 Points 14 - 16
Salary Range: £26,824 - £27,694 pro rata
Actual Pay: £23,768 - £24,538
Start date: 01 September 2026

We are looking to appoint a Guidance Leader in the Secondary Phase of our All-through school. The successful candidate will be a highly motivated, committed professional who has a positive attitude to ensure the effectiveness and impact of the Pastoral Team.
Main duties include;
attached as a guidance leader for a year group to support the Head of Year
assisting the designated safeguarding lead (secondary phase)
providing excellent team leader skills to manage a team
demonstrating excellent communication and negotiation skills required for working with pupils, staff, parents and external agencies.
have the ability to engage and understand of the needs of young people within the school
The ideal candidate will:

believe in creating strong, positive relationships with our pupils, developing them personally, socially, emotionally and academically.
