What skills and experience we're looking for
We are looking to appoint an energetic and innovative leader to oversee a cohort of pupils and join our “greatly valued” Guidance Support Team (Ofsted Inspection, 2015). Our Guidance Support Managers are central to the progress of all our pupils. The successful candidate will have a unique opportunity to play a crucial leadership role in pupils’ achievement and wellbeing.
The successful candidate will lead a year group and be responsible for cultivating the crucial chemistry between the social, emotional, academic and creative development of each pupil. Promoting positive behaviour for learning and maintaining high standards and expectations are central to the role, as is working closely with Parents, Teachers and the Senior Leadership Team to offer all our pupils the platform for success in their future education and livelihood.
The successful candidate will:
- Be committed to supporting all pupil to achieve their “Personal Best”
- Lead by example
- Have excellent interpersonal skills
- Be forward thinking, receptive to change and able to work under pressure.
- Have proven literacy and numeracy skills(Equivalent to at least a GCSE grade C or above in Maths and English).
Whilst previous secondary school experience is not necessarily essential, a passion for supporting all pupil to achieve their potential is crucial.

We are looking for a well-qualified and enthusiastic teacher to join our Mathematics team on a part or full time basis to start in September 2025. This role is suitable for both ECTs, who would benefit from a comprehensive range of support and guidance, and more experienced teachers alike. We are open to applicants who may be looking for part time work as well as applicants looking for a full-time position.
You will join a highly successful and well-resourced Maths Department where the focus in recent years has been on consistency of approaches, creating a productive and effective department where we have the belief that all children will achieve their potential. The department really does embody the school motto of “Personal Best” working together with pupils to encourage them to meet their individual goals. While we are very proud of these outcomes for our students in recent years, we remain driven and determined to improve even further. We are keen to employ a teacher who will share in this commitment whilst developing their own leadership.
