At Kettering Science Academy, we believe that ‘kids do well if they can’ - and that education should meet every young person where they are. For some, this means rethinking traditional schooling and offering high-quality, vocational pathways that inspire ambition, build skills, and unlock new futures.
We are proud to be launching a brand-new Hair and Beauty curriculum area and are seeking a passionate, experienced Hair and Beauty Tutor to lead this exciting development. You will have the unique opportunity to shape both the creation of our Academy salon and the curriculum itself, helping to redefine what success looks like for our students.
This is more than just a teaching role: you will build an industry-standard learning environment, manage a real-world salon, and develop a suite of qualifications that truly prepare young people for employment, further study, and life.
We are looking for someone who:
- Has professional experience in Hair and/or Beauty, with industry qualifications.
- Has experience working with young people, ideally in a teaching or training role.
- Can combine excellent technical knowledge with a love of inspiring and supporting students.
- Shares our values of belonging, reflection, and collaboration, and wants to be part of a forward-thinking, inclusive school community.
You will join a vibrant and ambitious team at a pivotal point in our development journey, with full access to outstanding CPD, Trust networks, and professional support.
If you are excited about the chance to make a real difference - not just to a subject area, but to the lives of young people - we would love to hear from you.
What we can offer you
Daily allowance for breakfast and lunch.
A modern building with fantastic facilities and resources.
A supportive and friendly community of staff and students.
A full induction programme.
Access to BWT Ambition Hub training and development programmes.
