Thank you for your interest in the role of Head/Aspiring Head of Mathematics at The Grange Academy.

Mathematics is one of our most improved departments, with 73% of students achieving a Grade 4 or above this summer. We are rightly proud of this improvement, but we are also ambitious for what comes next. Our students are brilliant, and we have no doubt that they are capable of even more. This success has come through a sustained and coordinated focus on the quality of the curriculum and the quality of its delivery. We work closely with trust leaders who have experience of leading exceptional schools and securing exceptional outcomes, giving the department strong foundations from which to develop further.

You will not be expected to do this alone. You will be supported by experienced leaders within the school and across the trust who know what great looks like and have a track record of securing strong outcomes.

We are now looking for an expert teacher who achieved great outcomes and an ambitious leader who can build on these foundations and take the department even further. As Head of Mathematics, you will provide the leadership and subject expertise required to secure consistently high standards of teaching, learning and student achievement. You will lead curriculum development, develop the expertise of colleagues, monitor student progress and ensure that assessment is used effectively to drive improvement. Above all, you will build an ambitious culture in which students are challenged, supported and inspired to succeed.
