What skills and experience we're looking for
Could you be Willow Green Academy’s next Head of Academy? We’re looking for an enthusiastic and inspiring leader who is excited to make a significant difference to children’s lives through shaping their education, to join us in September2025 (although we may be flexible around this), on a full time, permanent basis.

What can I expect as a Head of Academy within Delta Academies Trust?
- Joining a successful Multi Academy Trust, who are transforming educational outcomes for students in some of the most deprived areas in the North of England.
- You’ll receive individual support as a Leader from our successful team of Executive Principals, and support from our Directors of Learning to ensure teaching and learning is delivered effectively.
- You’ll join a large network of our other Heads of Academy and Principals across the Trust, meaning lots of collaboration and peer support

What can I expect as Head of Academy at Willow Green Academy?
- You’ll be leading a Primary Academy valuing continuous professional development of all our team, recognising our staff and students are most successful when they feel happy, valued, challenged and supported to achieve.
- You’ll be leading a team of staff who are incredibly talented and enthusiastic, who have all contributed to the academy’s success story.
- You’ll be based in Ferrybridge, West Yorkshire, close to the M62 and A1.
- You’ll be leading 1 form entry school, offering education from Early Years through to Key Stage 2.
- You’ll be leading a Primary Academy who received an improving letter from Ofsted in September 2023.

Located in Ferrybridge, in the heart of Yorkshire, we are a primary academy entrusted with being the centre of learning for over two-hundred children who range in age from Nursery to Year 6. The building itself is modern in design and flooded with natural light, making our learning environments bright and vibrant places to be.
