What skills and experience we're looking for

We are seeking an exceptional leader to join our school as Head of Business with Work Experience to bring outstanding practice to the foundations that have been established in the department already. We are looking for a person who can drive improvement through teamwork and have high expectations for all students while also staying true to our core values of kindness, empathy and a sense of humour.

What the school offers its staff

Lipson is the highest performing non-selective school in Plymouth. We are hugely ambitious and are striving to establish ourselves as one of the very best schools in the region. However, everything we do is underpinned by a culture where relationships are key and kindness is fundamental.

We are looking for candidates who, regardless of where they are in their career, will be able to demonstrate unwavering commitment to raising progress and standards and like us, believe that social disadvantage is no barrier to achievement and that every student can share in the joy of education and attainment. We will consider applicants with any level of experience as most importantly we require candidates who possess integrity, moral purpose and who are learners themselves. A relocation package will be available for the right candidate.

Commitment to safeguarding

Our organisation is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults. We expect all staff, volunteers and trustees to share this commitment.

Our recruitment process follows the keeping children safe in education guidance.

Offers of employment may be subject to the following checks (where relevant):
