Head of Catering job summary

• Managing and working closely with catering staff of all levels.
• Passion for healthy food and creative flair, responsible for menu planning.
• Ultimately responsible for ensuring the catering function meets all regulations, including sanitary and food safety guidelines.
• Manage the financial budget to ensure the catering service is cost-effective, value for money whilst not compromising the quality

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated, ambitious Head of Catering to become a member of our highly effective leadership team. You will play a crucial part in ensuring the Trust supports our children’s health and well-being with healthy meals, nutrition and the opportunity to develop.

Cuckoo Hall Academies Trust (CHAT) is an organisation where everyone is a valued member of the team and embraces a culture of collaboration. With four primary schools and the large secondary in our family of schools, the catering teams must work well together with school leaders to ensure children are supported to achieve their potential. CHAT is looking to recruit a suitably experienced Head of Catering on a permanent basis, with demonstrable communication skills and excellent attention to detail, who shares a passion and enthusiasm for providing high-quality food service for the Trust.

You will be joining the school at an exciting point in its journey and will be part of a forward-thinking team that is determined to improve whilst staying focused on the children and community we serve.
