Do you want to be a part of an exciting forward-looking school with a strong reputation catering for students from year 7 through to year 13?
The Hemel Hempstead School is a very popular and oversubscribed school on a beautiful site in the Boxmoor Village area of the town, close to local and national rail, bus and road links to London. Our GOOD Ofsted inspection in 2022 praised the school, saying, “Pupils at The Hemel Hempstead School get a high-quality education. They develop the knowledge they need to achieve well in all subjects. This is the same for all pupils. Pupils are keen to learn. As a result, they concentrate in lessons. Pupils say that they behave well because they understand what they are learning.’
We are looking to appoint a highly motivated, exceptional individual to take on the role of Head of Classics (Maternity Cover Appointment). The successful candidate will be expected to teach Ancient History at A level and Classics at GCSE. A full-time role would also involve teaching Humanities at Key Stage 3 in addition to this. You will be well organised, resourceful, adaptable, flexible and innovative. You may be new to teaching, looking for your first post, but will be a highly capable and have aspirations that the students in your charge achieve to the very best of their ability.
