Head of Department Economics and Geography job summary

This post is an ideal opportunity for a successful and ambitious teacher to develop their leadership experience.

A Level experience is not an essential requirement; we are seeking to appoint an individual with a strong academic background in Economics and/or Geography who loves to teach, who has a passion for all aspects of the subject and who can demonstrate the ability l to lead.

The person appointed must be willing to:

bring imaginative and varied approaches to their teaching

work as a member of a team, sharing ideas and resources

develop relationships with students based upon equality, respect, joy and high aspirations

take responsibility for the management of overall leadership of Economics and Geography

contribute to the College's strategic plan and lead its implementation within the department
