We are looking to appoint a Head of Modern Languages to join our highly motivated and talented team here at Sheringham High School. You will:


Be an inspirational leader with a track record of ensuring excellent results throughout the age and ability range

Bring visible enthusiasm and advocacy for languages, creating memorable experiences beyond the classroom that inspire students to develop confidence, curiosity and a lasting passion for language learning.

Be able to teach French GCSE . The ability to teach German GCSE is also desirable, but other languages will be considered.

Be highly organised, and passionate about ensuring excellence for all in teaching, learning and achievement

Be aspirational about your own professional development and have excellent communication and motivational skills

Be committed to providing the best possible opportunities for all our young people

Sheringham High School became an Academy in 2011 and is situated on the North Norfolk coast, forty or so minutes from Norwich. Until September 2021, Sheringham High was the central high school in the North Norfolk Academy Trust which has now merged with Synergy MAT.

We are a popular School that caters for over 700 students aged from 11 to 18 who live in Sheringham, Holt and the many surrounding villages. The School occupies a wonderful campus set in its own spacious playing fields with views of the sea.

Visitors comment on the very positive relationships between staff and students, and recognise the focus on learning in a caring and supportive environment. We provide a rich extra-curricular programme that includes a range of artistic, social, technological, literary, linguistic, sporting, dramatic, STEM and musical activities which the appointee should be looking to support.
